This week we set goals.
For our learning disposition, we could choose a Maori who came to Turanganui-a-kiwa on the Hourta waka. I chose Kiwa. I choose Kiwa so I can set my own goals like he did.

Paoa and Kiwa
Today we are learning about Paoa and KIwa.
I found it hard to get the glue in line with the waka.
I found it easy to get the skewers into the waka.
Paoa and Kiwa were on Horouta. They hit the sand bar at Ohiwa so they went and looked for the special tree. Paoa went through valleys, over moutans. He finally found it so he chopped it down then put it in the Waipaoa river. It went down the steam and Kiwa made minor repairs so he said our place should be called Turanganui-a-Kiwa which means the waiting place of Kiwa.
Our class went to a museum visit. They were talking about Horouta. We did sand art and made a waka. Waka Hourua means two hulls and thatś what the Horouta waka had. The waka we made has one

Summer Hoilydays
Today we are learning to describe.
I found it hard to to use adcetives
I found it easy to use juciy verbs
Remember
The hot sizzling sun giving you sunburns s
liding down down the track right next to our tent from the bridge.
Remember
Getting crayfish from Nan and Dad
running across the river bed.
And touching a 5 foot eel
That was summer.
